It, when combined with the Catapult MINI RX, enables you to transform a standard Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable into a 4-channel analog snake. Simply connect a shielded Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable between the two modules, and they’ll use the analog conductors in the cable to deliver four balanced audio lines to whatever destination you choose. The MINI TX employs straight-wire passive operation — it’s analog all the way, with no digital conversion necessary. At Sweetwater, we’ve also used the MINI TX to transmit audio via a building’s pre-existing Ethernet network. You can put a performer, mic, and preamp in one room, and send the signal to your DAW in a completely different room.
